Last week was the beginning of the heirloom tomato avalanche in my own garden, so Roasted Tomatoes Stuffed with Goat Cheese & Sage will be on my dinner menu very soon! I know many people are now diving into their copies of Dinner at Your Door and we hope you are enjoying the recipes that were developed and tested with the help of so many of our friends. We’d love to hear what recipes you’re making and how you like them.

Spanakopita! As appetizers. This recipe is bomber and so delicious. Mighty healthy too. It was fun to use my bumper crop of Rainbow Chard, and was received with ooh’s and ahh’s from all who ate it. The phyllo didn’t even require the much appreciated suggestion of wine before handling, which it often does. By spreading the recipe out over a half baking sheet it was fairly thin and easy to cut into little triangles. Can’t wait to try more recipes. thanks for sharing them.

Alex’s Crab-Corn Chowder from the book. Now’s the time to make it with fresh local corn on the cob. It’s fun to watch a 4-year old’s concentration level during the shucking process.

Last night we made the Tangy Spinach Salad from the book … it was a side dish to accompany roasted pork and grilled vegetables. The spinach salad dressing never fails to get raves .. and the salad itself is so delicious. I wasn’t able to find dried pears so substituted organic dried cranberries instead (sweetened with apple juice). My co-op members were very happy!

Preview for next week: Zucchini, sun-dried tomato and parmesean tart, accompanied by chickpeas with pesto over greens — all from the book.

Am getting started organizing my own dinner co-op right now! I got my inspiration from your book, and searched for your website specifically to find even more proven “co-op friendly” recipes. What a great idea to share here. Would LOVE to see a section of your site devoted to more recipes!
